Alaska tops the RVer bucket list every year, and most people never go, because the logistics look like too much. Jim and Marcia Badhorn skipped the caravan and planned their own 90 day Alaska trip, and they just got back.
They tell us how they planned it, what had to be booked ahead, what they would change, and what it is actually like out there on your own.

Jim is a retired automotive engineer with over 40 years of experience in car bodies and closures.
Marcia is a retired Registered Respiratory Therapist also with over 40 years of experience.
We both camped with our families before meeting each other, and we have camped with each other since; our children grew up camping with us and now two of them have campers which they use frequently. Jim also was a Boy Scout and went to Philmont for an adventure as a teenager.
As lifelong campers, it was a short stretch to becoming full time RVers. We wanted the adventure and the freedom to travel after retiring, and with our fifth wheel, we have the capability to live full time wherever we want to go.
We are the #badhornfamilyadventure, and this comes from taking vacations and whenever there was a wrong turn or other unplanned situation it became just another 'Badhorn Family Adventure.'
